Refresher Workshop II June 2012

Two 2-day workshops are scheduled. Participants will

• share Best Practices,
• review investment basics,
• attend optional enrichment sessions if desired,
• participate in hands-on activities, and
• build classroom lessons.

Participants receive

• Free Registration
• Free Lodging at the NCED Postal Training Center Marriott in Norman
• Free Meals
• Free Course materials and resources
• Financial education training from new subject matter expert(s) – names not yet confirmed
• $200 Stipend
• 1.3 CEU Certificate and professional development points with your district’s approval

Dress is casual - it's summer! Please bring a jacket or wrap as the classroom may be cool at times.

Registration opens March 28, and seats go fast! If you are interested in attending, please complete the registration form and submit it as soon as possible. Online registration is available March 28 at www.investedok.org / Refresher Workshop link. Seating is limited to 20 each Institute. Registrations will be accepted in the order received.

Refresher Workshop Eligibility Requirements

ü must teach grades 9-12 in Oklahoma
ü must plan to continue teaching grades 9-12 in an Oklahoma secondary school or Technology Center
** Please do not register if you will not have a signed contract for the 11-12 school year.
ü must plan to implement the STARS project if not already doing so

Stipulations

• No more than 2 teachers from each school will be given a seat at the workshop during primary registrations. Any additional registrations will be placed on the waiting list.
• Every workshop attendee must attend the entire workshop in order to receive the full stipend. Our expectation is you will attend both days. If you have to miss part of the workshop, please inform the Invest Ed^® staff ASAP.
• If your employment status changes at any time, please notify the Invest Ed^® staff immediately.
